SAVE THE DATE! Magical Medora Christmas Show Returning to Hettinger November 28th!

"We've never had the red carpet rolled out for our cast and crew like they did in Hettinger last November." That's what Bill Sorenson, leader of Sorenson Productions and the now Midwest-famous "Magical Medora Christmas Show," told our WRHS Foundation just a few weeks ago.

"The overall participation was unbelievable! Members of the Nighthawks wrestling team assisted our crew in unloading all of our sets, lights, and wardrobe trunks. They served us pizza and drinks from Fossil Fuel. Over 600 fans attended our first Show of the Tour. Then Kennedy's Fresh Foods had meals to go for all of us on our way to Spearfish. Additionally, the WRHS Foundation provided us with all the shirts and hats to commemorate our first stop on the tour. Amazing rural hospitality!"

How can you not bring a Show back when they feel that way about our community? So, our WRHS Foundation began visiting with former sponsors of the event, as well as a few new businesses and families. Once again, the giving ways of our rural communities amazed us -- we raised enough to invite them back for the second consecutive season.

Thanks to the rural vision and love of the arts from Rick and Tracy Berg, Mark and LaNae Kristy, Josh and Carrie Ranum, the Hettinger Jaycees, Mike and Sandy Marion, and Slope Electric Cooperative Inc., the Magical Medora Christmas Show will return to Hettinger this fall! The performance will be held at the Hettinger High School Gymnasium on Friday, November 28, at 7:30 p.m.

This sensational singing and dancing Show, featuring former and current Medora Musical musicians and vocalists along with other recording artists and magicians, will be performing for our local patrons. They will bring their traveling sets, lights, musical equipment, and specialty acts, adding family-friendly humor, tricks, and magic to complete the evening.

In September, you can purchase $40 tickets directly from Ted Uecker at the WRHS Foundation (701-567-3666) or at the following locations: KB Jewelers and the Hettinger Community Promotions Office in Hettinger; the Flower Box and Daily Grind in Lemmon; Dacotah Bank in Bison; Scranton Equity Convenience Store/Gas Station in Scranton; the Roosevelt Custer Office in Bowman; The Tulip in Mott; and Bravera Bank in New England. You can also purchase tickets online at medorachristmas.com, but a substantial handling fee will apply.

Consider buying a block of tickets (5, 10, 20, 30 or more) for employees and their families as Christmas gifts, arranging a bus trip to Hettinger for the Show, or purchasing tickets to "pay forward" to local youth so they can attend. On the other hand, consider bringing your spouse or family, or inviting more family members home for Thanksgiving, and treat them to the festivities and a show on Friday night for an unforgettable experience.

Before the Magical Medora Christmas Show, enjoy the famous Hettinger Jaycees Fireworks, the 40th Anniversary Wake-Up Santa Lighted Parade, and visits/photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Hettinger Fire Hall. It does not get much better than this!

Hettinger will be the very first stop for this inspiring traveling musical Christmas show, a tradition beloved by thousands across the region. The tour visits over 20 communities in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and MN, beginning here on November 28. Be the first to see this year's Show! The cast is comprised of talented musicians and vocalists from across the USA, including some former and current stars of the world-famous Medora Musical, who travel with sets, lights, costumes, and musical instruments. Think of it as a smaller version of the Medora Musical... on Christmas steroids!

We are grateful to our incredible local sponsors for making this possible. Bringing the arts to our rural area communities brings joy to our residents while also helping to improve our local healthcare services.

Net proceeds from this event will benefit the West River Health Services Foundation, supporting medical facilities, equipment, staffing, loans, and scholarships to keep our high-quality healthcare system "close to home," ready for you and your family whenever needed.

THANK YOU for considering buying a ticket or two (or more!). If you have questions about the return of the Magical Medora Christmas Show to Hettinger, please call Ted Uecker at 701-567-3666.

TOGETHER we are COMMUNITY. TOGETHER we are making an IMPACT! Ted Uecker, WRHS Foundation
