The Family of Clark Crum joined West River Health Services this morning for a Memorial Plaque Dedication Ceremony.

Clark was the CEO/Pharmacist at WRHS from 1970-1981. Clark began with our Community Memorial Hospital, and with the help of Doctors Sailer, Mattson, Jacobsen, Schauer, and Grossman, helped make West River Regional Medical Center what it is today. He helped usher in the use of managed care in rural North Dakota with many pioneering achievements, such as starting the West River HMO, securing grants from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and championing the use of swing beds to improve bed utilization.

Clark passed away this year at the age of 88. However, his legacy lives on here at West River Health Services. Family members Audrey, Becky, Lee, and David unveiled a bronze plaque in memory of Clark Crum.
