Joshua Lacey with West River Ambulance Service is awarded the 2023 NDEMSA Southwest Region Siren Award

20230417 091826Each year the North Dakota EMS Association recognizes those individuals who have made significant contributions to the provision, development and improvement to local, regional and state prehospital care. In 2023 we are honored to present the NDEMSA Southwest Region Siren Award to Joshua Lacey with the West River Ambulance Service.

Joshua is a shining example of a volunteer that any rural ambulance service would want to have on their roster. Josh is a dedicated member of the West River Ambulance service who takes several hours of day time call, when there is no other coverage, and is the first to volunteer for out of town transfer when he is able. Joshua is constantly working to learn more about EMS and our services operations. Josh has decided to take his training one step further and is currently enrolled in an EMT class, where he plans on being an active member following his course completion and certification. He is an asset to the West River Ambulance service, and North Dakota EMS, and his crew members believe he is truly deserving of the Southwest Region Siren Award.

This award recognizes an individual driver who is not licensed above the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) level. This individual goes above and beyond the call of duty, shows tremendous professionalism and a strong dedication to EMS. The nominee must be a member of the North Dakota EMS Association.
