2019 Partners In Health Club Provides Over $43,000 for Needed Equipment!

PIHtopWow! The area community rises to the occasion once again! Although last February we asked our Partners In Health Club members to consider placing their customary Partners In Health Club annual gift toward our new Physician Recruitment Endowment Fund for Giving Hearts Day (which 73% of them did, bless their hearts), they and others also gifted another $43,000 for other needed equipment throughout West River Health Services and Western Horizons Living Centers.

So our Partners In Health Club supported fourteen separate projects from $650 up to $8,800 each, with a grand total of $43,223 being distributed for needed equipment at WRHS and WHLC. The Hettinger Clinic received a total of $14,484 for a new Bladder Scanner, updated Exam Room Chairs, and a new Wheelchair Scale. Our Med Surg Department received $7,070 for ten new Over-Bed Tables and a new Geri-Chair. The Surgery Department will purchase a new $4,800 Endoscope Cabinet with Hepa Filter for their Surgery Sterilizer Unit. Our Laboratory team received $2,800 for a Microbiology Incubator; our EMS unit received $2,220 for an Airway Management Trainer. Plus, $2,200 was gifted for our Outpatient Surgery team’s new Blood Pressure Monitoring Device. The Pharmacy Department received $1,500 for a Medi-Dose Unit Packaging System, while our Bowman Clinic needed a $1,299 Schwinn Airdyne for patients in Physical Therapy. Our Radiology Department received $1,100 for a GUS Station for Infection Control and our Stress Laboratory received $750 for Cardiokey Holter Monitors. We have also earmarked $5,000 for upcoming needed equipment at our Western Horizons Care Center.

THANK YOU to the 206 Partners In Health Club Members who gifted $100 or more over the last twelve months, so that we can continue to improve our equipment, which in turn helps our patients feel better faster. Over the last 17 years, Partners In Health Club has provided over $543,000 for needed equipment at West River and Western Horizons. We are grateful. All of us – physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, board of director members, and more.

If you’d ever like to visit with us about becoming a WRHS Foundation Partners In Health Club member, please contact Ted Uecker at 701-567-3666. He would be more than willing to meet with you most anytime or anyplace to discuss your giving desires. It only takes $100 or more over a twelve month period or less than $9 per month. TOGETHER we are STRONG! Onward!
