The Foundation at West River Health Services attended their first-ever “Giving Hearts Day Awards (GHD) Banquet” At the Tom O’Leary Clubhouse in Bismarck on Monday, April 1st. And no April Fools here, the WRHS Foundation received six awards gifts totaling $11,125! These gifts are in addition to the $147,440 the WRHS Foundation raised for Giving Hearts Day for their New Physician Recruitment Endowment Fund, New Lemmon Clinic, MRI Scanner and Western Horizons Living Centers. They received the following awards and their respective amounts from the Dakota Medical Foundation and Alex Stern Family Foundation:
3rd Place Nonprofit Overall in the Under $500,000 Operating Category -- $8,000
“Standout Corporate Collaboration Award” with Kennedy’s Fresh Foods -- $500
“Beanstalk Award” for overall effort to create awareness, market our message, and engage area communities -- $1,000
“Spark Plug Award” for raising over $30,000 (we raised $147,440) for a first-time GHD nonprofit -- $500
“Go Big Award” for receiving at least one $10,000 or more gifts (we received 4!) -- $500
“Plan for the Best Award” for our GHD Marketing Plan & Execution -- $500
“Social Media Award” for our Facebook Marketing and Videos (via Cindy Ham and Andy Roehl) -- $100
“Anonymous Award” -- $25
