John P. Joyce, MD Family Medicine

A native of Tioga ND, Dr. Joyce received his bachelor of science with honors in Chemical Engineering from the UND and also received his medical degree from UND. In Bismarck, he completed his residency at UND Family Practice Center. Dr. Joyce received his Masters in Public Health from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

• He is board-certified in Family Practice by the American Board of Family Practice.
• Dr. Joyce has practiced at West River since 1981.

• He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice
• Member of the ND Medical Assn.
• Eleventh District Medical Society

• He also serves as a volunteer for the Healthy North Dakota Initiative.
• Dr. Joyce also serves as medical director of the Three Rivers Mental Health Center in Lemmon
• Clinical advisor for mental health services at West River
• Clinical instructor for UND School of Medicine
• Physician advisor for the Lemmon ambulance squad.
• He is president of the Hettinger Holy Trinity Catholic Church
• Member of the Hettinger Cowboy Band.
• He serves Hettinger, New England, Scranton and Lemmon Clinics, traveling 780 miles a month.
• He is licensed to practice medicine in North and South Dakota.
• Served on the ND Board of Medical Examiners 1992 - 1997, and has currently served since 2001.
