Thomas E. Jacobsen, MD, Family Medicine

Education:
A native of Bismarck, Dr. Jacobsen is a graduate of Bismarck High School, bachelor of science in Premedicine from UND, bachelor of medicine from UND. He received his medical degree from University of Pennsylvania, and completed his internship at St. Paul-Ramsey Hospital in St. Paul. Dr. Jacobsen is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine with the UND School of Medicine.
Specialties:
- Family Medicine with special interest in obstetrics, womens health, and pediatrics, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice.
- Dr. Jacobsen has practiced at West River since 1969.
- Family Medicine is total health care of patients and their families, regardless of age.

- He was doubly honored in 2003 when selected as the ND Family Physician of the Year and also National Rural Health Practitioner of the Year. Dr. Jacobsen is licensed to practice medicine in North and South Dakota.
