Recognized as a leader in rural health care, West River Health Services Clinics, have received the highest award for excellence from the National Rural Primary Care Association. All health clinics have CLIA labs.
Physician specialties include: Six family practitioners (one dual-boarded in geriatrics), two general practitioners, two internal medicine/geriatric physicians, one general surgeon, one radiologist, one optometrist, one podiatrist, and one pediatrician.
This physician group is stable with most all physicians being board certified in their respective specialty. The physician group has a very strong clinical affiliation with specialty physicians from the PrimeCare Group in Bismarck, ND, who provide on-site clinical visits on a regular basis in cardiology, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, neurology, and nephrology.
Ultimately it is the United Clinic Physician, P.C. Group and their willingness to innovate, reach out, and to share that has helped bring West River Health Services to its present standing as a leader in rural medicine.
There are a total of 8 clinics in the West River Health Services Clinic System. The United Clinic Physician, P.C. Group also over sees four additional clinics in Bison, McIntosh, Isabel and Faith, South Dakota. Covering a service area of over 25,000 square miles these clinics help to provide up to date, quality medical care to over 25,000 people.
